Finding your energy and water bills are through the roof? A water saving Shower kit consists of the Gleamous DSK 45EP Instant Hot Water Unit and Low Pressure Shower kit, which has been tried and tested to help you reduce your bills, save water and energy and be more environmentally friendly.

The Instant Hot Water unit is an electric instant hot water system that offers an endless supply of hot water! The unit runs on a mere 240v/15amp power making the unit very energy efficient. Storage heaters use energy to keep water heated at a set temperature, so it’s wasting energy when it’s not being used.

The Low Pressure Show kit uses a maximum water flow of 4 litres per minute, whereas your standard head uses about 15 to 25 litres of water per minute. For example, a family of four who have 8-minute showers, plus 2 weeks vacation in the year, lets see how much they will save.

Current usage = 25 (litres per minute) x 8 (minutes) x 4 (people) x 350 (days a year) = 280,000L per year

New usage = 4 (liters per minute) x 8 (minutes) x 4 (people) x 350 (days a year) = 44,800L per year
Which means a saving of 235,200L (84%) each year! That’s a massive saving on your water usage, which will reduce your energy bill!
The Gleamous Shower Kit consists of:

  • 1x Gleamous DSK 45EP hot water unit
  • 1x Low Pressure Shower kit
  • 1x Aerator kit.

This kit has the capability to be put into those areas where hot water was not previously possible. This could be an outdoor BBQ/Pool area or garage, in schools, hospitals, and factories, sporting locker rooms and even caravans and motor homes.

The public has had the “wool pulled over their eyes” when it comes to choices in hot water systems.

Consumers are guaranteed to save money on their hot water energy bills from the first day of using this brand new system, up to a massive 40 percent off, according to the General Manager of Gleamous Australia,

“We have all been blindfolded to the choices available for hot water systems that can save people money today, not tomorrow,” he said.

“We’re all hurting, we’re all in the same boat. However, this system saves you money from day one. People need to know the truth that traditional hot water storage units, and even gas systems, waste water and energy”.

“With hot water storage units, the water has to be heated to 75 degrees Celsius to kill bacteria, though can only be delivered to your tap at up to 50 degrees – immediately you are heating water then cooling it which wastes energy. Then there’s the time it takes for water to heat up at your tap on its way from the hot water system – this time you can waste unknown litres of water.”

The GL5 Instant Continuous Hot Water Unit has just arrived in Australia and is set to change the face of energy usage woes in homes. It will lighten the load on consumers’ hip pockets that are already bursting at the seams with home energy expenses because you only pay to heat the water you actually use.

The GL5 Instant Hot Water Unit can be installed in any part of your home or can replace your existing hot water unit.

“We have a calculator at that tells you, to the cent, how much money it will cost you in electricity with this system and even breaks it down to the day, week, month and year. We are the only ones who can calculate this cost because the water is instantaneous at the point of use. There is no storage and no pre-heating.”

This new alternative now on the market is the answer to our ever increasing energy and water bills. And with the introduction of the carbon tax on 1 July, and with no government rebates on solar hot water systems, now is the time for us to think smart and be wise about our power and water usage.

“The price is right, the warranty is right and the technology in the system is perfect. This revolutionary technology has been available in Europe, South America, Germany and the USA for up to 75 years. Australia needs to get their heads around this new technology and embrace it. It’s cost saving on power and water, you never run out of hot water, there’s no water storage, constant temperature due to an in-built LCD screen with easy temperature adjustment, two-year warranty and environmentally friendly. Plus it comes in a super sleek, innovative design and is so compact it can fit into a cupboard or left on display.

The GL5 Home Instant Hot Water Units can be purchased for an introductory price.

Gleamous, Your Instant Hot Water Solutions!

Environmental performance, efficiency, installation quality and Energy and Water running costs are key factors that go into the selection when deciding the most efficient and effective electric water-heating solution for Multi residential dwellings. In addition, consumption and wastage of water a finite natural resource must also come into the equation when determining the most suitable option.

In Australia, centralised hot water services for multiple dwelling buildings as mostly gas-fired, while stand-alone instantaneous units heat water either gas-fired or electrically. When comparing heating efficiency, electric instantaneous hot water systems are a far better option because their heating efficiency is 99.5 per cent in comparison with gas-fired hot water systems that have burner heating efficiencies of 80 to 85 per cent.

Energy efficiency and sustainability are becoming increasingly important to all parts of today’s society, from Corporate Businesses to the Private Home Owner. Increasing regulations and end-user demands to minimise impact on the natural environment has everyone looking for a better option.

The cost of energy and water is a significant domestic outgoing and a simple and direct way any individual can lessen their own environmental impact is to reduce the resources that they consume in their daily life; particularly their water wastage in hot water systems.

Instantaneous electric systems have the advantage in terms of heating efficiency, but there are other factors that contribute to the overall system efficiency and environmental performance:

  • system architecture
  •  installation quality, ‘cleanness' of energy source
  •  Operating costs (these must also be considered in system selection )

While most environmental impact studies focus solely on energy usage, water wastage becomes an important factor to be considered given the fact that most parts of Australia regularly face water restrictions and price increases.

Water System Specification:

Architects and builders face mounting pressure to make the buildings they erect as ‘green' as possible. They are also faced the challenge of evaluating which hot water system is the most suitable.

Their usual alternatives are:

  • Centralised boilers: These service the whole building
  • Individual instantaneous water heaters installed in each apartment.

Multi-dwelling residential developments provide an ideal setting in which to demonstrate the water saving and other benefits of instantaneous hot water systems.

To simplify the infrastructure requirements of an apartment block it can sometimes be better to select electric appliances to remove the need for gas feeds to each apartment. An instantaneous electric hot-water solution can be positioned exactly where it is needed without the restrictions associated with gas feeds, flues or venting.

You will normally find that when a Multi-residential dwelling is build the water system choices they have are normally a choice of 3 options:

  • Instantaneous electric
  • Instantaneous gas
  • Centralised gas water heating systems

From all three options the instantaneous electric option has the least infrastructure requirements, and therefore represents the most cost-efficient choice for installation.

Centralised supply
Centralised gas-fired hot water heating systems are generally assumed to have the lowest carbon footprint of the three systems available, but by having to operate continuously-regardless of demand-centralised gas-fired systems can be inefficient in their design and costly to operate. Typically, a centralised hot water plant comprises a ring-main that extends throughout the building, with individual feeds to each apartment. With this type of system, heat is lost from the storage tank and from the long pipe-runs.

Water in each of the apartment feeds is often significantly colder than the water circulating in the ring-main. This necessitates draining the cooler water from the feed-often referred to as ‘dead-legs'-every time hot water is wanted, resulting in significant water wastage. While most environmental impact studies focus solely on energy usage, water wastage becomes an important factor to be considered given the water restrictions in force in many Australian states.

Such systems also often present a more expensive initial cost for a property developer, given the requirements for a dedicated plant room, large commercial gas boilers, hot water storage tanks, circulating pumps, and the reticulation pipework. Moreover, these systems are often associated with higher maintenance costs.

Instantaneous electric advantage
Many advantages are available when you choose to go ahead with a stand-alone instantaneous systems. As water is only heated at the time of use, energy is not wasted in maintaining a stored volume of hot water, and operating costs are reduced. With the heating units located closer to the point-of-use, pipe-runs are shorter and less water is wasted by the user while waiting for sufficiently hot water to arrive to the outlet. Studies have shown that a typical apartment, fed from a centralised gas-fired system, wastes 7,000 litres of water over the course of a year, simply through waiting for hot water to arrive at the tap. An instantaneous electric water heater system can reduce this down to less than 1,600 litres.

Why A Gleamous Hot Water System Can Give You
The Lowest Electric Hot Water Bill In The Street...

If you're like the average Australian... you desperately want to slash your electricity bill...

And while I commend you for taking steps to save the environment (and your wallet!), there's something you should know...

No matter how many lights you turn off... how little you use your air conditioner... or how diligent you are when shopping for energy-efficient devices... chances are there's an “electricity vampire” hidden in plain sight in your household.

In fact... for most households, this power-hungry bully is responsible for a quarter of your electric bill.

I'm talking, of course, about your electric hot water system.

See, most Australian electric hot water systems keep water at a scalding seventy degrees Celsius... but due to design of the system, by the time it comes out the tap it's already lost at least twenty degrees in temperature.

Yes, that's right... you're already losing a whopping 28% of heat you've paid good money for before it even hits your skin!

Sadly however, it gets worse...

Because while the average electric hot water system holds 315 litres of water... the typical Aussie household only uses about a hundred litres of water a day.

In a nutshell...

You're Paying a Premium To Heat Two Hundred Litres Of Water
You're Not Even Using!

Yeah, it's crazy... but today, you can stop that madness once and for all with a Gleamous instant hot water system.

Using cutting-edge technology used in millions of energy-conscious European households, Gleamous is the brand new on-demand hot water option that can save you up to 40% on your next electric hot water bill.

  • Save you money. Gleamous products can instantly slash your power bill, putting money back in your pocket faster.

How To Save Hundreds Of Dollars On Your Next Hot Water Bill...

Let’s not sugar-coat the cold, hard truth...

The electricity companies are robbing us all blind.

And with the Australian Government’s new carbon tax on the way, our electricity bills are only going to keep going up... despite budgets all over the country already stretched to breaking point. In fact, if you’re like the average Aussie household, a significant portion of your electricity bill comes from heating your hot water – most of which isn’t even used before it cools down again. What a waste of money!

But don’t worry...there is a solution.

Yes... You Can Stop Throwing Away Your Hard-Earned Wages...

And no - I’m not talking about LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas), which is almost as expensive as electricity (even before you factor in the crazy installation price), just as bad for the environment, and dumps an unsightly gas tank right on your front lawn...

Nor am I talking about the Australian Government’s latest darling, solar energy. Because as much as the Australian Government would love you to spend at least $6 000 (with no available rebate) on a renewable energy source... solar technology isn’t anywhere near the stage of being a cost-effective alternative, taking between 5 and 8 years before the average household breaks even.

In fact, solar energy is so expensive the Government has had to ban the old-style “hot water heaters” from January, 2012 in a desperate bid to make hard-working Aussie families sink money into this overpriced (and underpowered!) technology.

Australia needs a solution...

A method of heating hot water that’s easy to install, efficient, and cost-effective.

And as of now... that solution has arrived.

Renewable sources of electricity generation are expanding every year, and proposed legislation will encourage increasing the sustainable proportion of the energy power companies supply to consumers. Over time, with a greater proportion of electricity being produced from renewable sources, the overall carbon impact of electricity generation has the potential to fall. In contrast, gas-fired appliances offer much less scope for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the future.

Property developers need to weigh up the cost effectiveness and the environmental performance of the various water heater technologies to determine the most appropriate hot water service option for new multi-dwelling residential blocks. Here, developers have the opportunity to minimise equipment and installation costs, while delivering efficient, reliable, water saving, and environmentally responsible hot water for building residents long into the future.

(Sunday telegraph 1.1.2012)

SRUGGLING households will face an even greater challenge when it comes to paying the bills from Sunday 1st January 2012, with the cost of living set to soar across the state.

New parents and home owners will bear the brunt of a raft of changes coming into effect for 2012 as a series of government schemes are scaled back despite the rapidly rising cost of essential utilities and services.

The state’s long suffering electricity users are to be hit by a 10 per cent rise in power prices this year – on top of the 17.5 per cent increase in 2011 – and water bills are set to go up  by about $143.00 a year.
